Does it actually taste bitter?

Yes. That is the mechanism. You notice before you bite. It is a signal, not a punishment.

Will anyone see it on my hands?

No. It dries matte in about a minute. No colour, no shine, no polish finish.

Why a cream and not a polish?

Polish sits on the nail plate. Most people who bite are going for the strip of skin beside the nail, and polish was never designed to reach it. A cream goes where the habit is.

Is this a treatment?

No. Cosmetic care, not a cure for onychophagia or any condition.

What is in it?

Denatonium benzoate as the bitter agent, named on the carton. Jojoba, shea and vitamin E so the skin around the nail feels less dry and tight. Calendula, traditionally used on skin that has been picked at. Fragrance free, cruelty free, adults only.

How long does a tube last?

About a month of daily use. Reapply after washing your hands. That is the ritual, not a flaw.

My skin is already sore. Can I use it?

Not on broken skin. Wait until it closes. If it stings, stop and ask a pharmacist.

Does it work for skin picking?

Honestly, less well. A bitter taste interrupts a hand that reaches the mouth. If your hands never get that far, this is not the right product for you and we would rather say so now.
